The Young Artist Performance Incubator (YAPI) is an open mic that serves youth age 18 and under by offering a non-competitive performance opportunity in a supportive environment. Brenda Freed, the creator and host of YAPI, has been serving youth in this way since 2003. Since 2013, Brenda has hosted YAPI as an annual event at the Kerrville Folk Festival sponsored by the Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation.
